Normally when you go to a McDonald's you know what to expect. They tend to have the same standard for cleanliness and food quality everywhere.Sadly when I went there it was not the case.I only got a royal cheese burger and it was mild warm and dry. I don't know how much time it waited under the infrared warmer before being sold, but one thing is for sure, it was not tasty at all.In the future I will avoid it and walk a little more to get something better.

I am now out politically when I think that this question is a fundamental one and nothing to do with basel. who wants to, who doesn't want, finds a cute eating in basel.
Comfortable and easy to find on busy days when all the restaurants are fully booked and if you don't have a reservation you wait for long. I recommend the prime with chips if you like meat.
Of course Mcds you cannot beat - you have to try in every country I guess - just as good - the McCafe was nice too :)
Are you kidding me, they have a review space for McDonalds!? I can't believe anyone would need one because who hasn't been in one before and knows exactly what they are like? I will say that Swiss McDonalds like the one I visited are very clean and the design is very inviting. Tell you the truth as I get older, my visits to fast food places tends to decline, but this place is great for a few quick bites down memory lane. The prices are heart attack inducers for many people from the North American side of the world, I saw meals posted for about 17 francs (18-$20 USD) at the regular medium size. But the bathrooms are really clean at lest at this location, and it seems to be very family-friendly. I've seen some McDonalds around other parts of the world that attract some...interesting characters...but this one was pretty straightforward.
We had the chicken bacon burger and it was horrible. It was McDonald's so we weren't expecting much but it tasted horrible! Avoid this place!
McDonalds at most cities across the world treats you the same but at Basel I could see extra warmth and friendliness. This was simply great.
