The place is nice, the view excellent and the ice cream good. But....as usual I asked for a glass of tap water and first the young waiter was reticent to do it, after insisting he told me that a glass of water will be charged...More
Had lunch here, stunning view matched by really good food & service. We sat on the terrace & enjoyed the river running by. All food was home made, the pork cordon bleu was excellent & the apple & banana curry was the same. The waiter was attentive but not overbearing. A really good place to have a meal, We would highly recommend it.
We love this restaurant set in one of the old, iconic buildings in Bremgarten. Both the restaurant and the expansive outdoor terrace overlook the Reuss River. The fish dishes are fresh and well prepared. Try the fish knussperli's. They also serve a steak on a hot stone that is festive as well as tasty. The wine list focuses on local wines. It si a very local place so they don't speak much English.
Summer or Winter, Spring or Autumn, this The Spot to stop im Bremgarten for a quick Drink, Kaffee, or a Light Lunch!!! You will NOT be disappointed!!!
Good for ice cream and something to drink. Haven't eaten a meal, people seem to be there for the view and the nice outdoor seating.
We enjoyed walking to and eating at the Bijou restaurant in Bremergarten. If my friend and beekeeping associate had not known about this gem I would never have known it was there! Clean, good service, large portions (for the area), and relaxing atmosphere. Definitely worth...a lunch adventure!
The Bijou offers several seating places. On nice days the terrace is excellent with a great view of the river that flows through Bremgarten. Excellent service well prepared Swiss cuisine.
We sat on the garden terrace overlooking the Reuss river a beafiful scenery at the sunset. The food was decent, perhaps a bit simple. I had mixed salad and grilled forelle (trout). The salad was very dependable. The fish was cooked perfectly, but perhaps...it was a bit simple: just the fish and some boiled potatoes. The local white wine was delightful: fresh, good balance with the fish.
