Half board dinners were creative and delicious. Breakfasts were Lucullan. All meals were served in elegant in door dining rooms or on the outdoor terraces, all of which had great views of the Giessbach Waterfall and/or Lake Brienz.
Nous avons profité de notre nuit à l'hôtel pour manger dans ce restaurant. Il y a beaucoup de choix entre les entrées, le buffet de salades, le choix de 3 plats et des 3 desserts. Le prix pour l'ensemble est correct mais un peu cher quand comme moi on ne prend ni entrée ni buffet de salades. Peut-être à adapter en fonction du choix du client?Tout le monde fait l'effort de parler français ou anglais quand, comme moi, on ne parle pas allemand.Petit bémol, notre serveuse ne nous a pas demandé si nous voulions boire autre chose que de l'eau.
A défaut du restaurant Tapis rouge qui était fermé, nous avons eu un excellent menu du soir avec un excellent service par le personnel.
Watched the waterfall out the window while eating four courses of scrumptious food. Excellent, friendly service. Expensive ($74 pre fixe), but not bad for Switzerland! Felt like good value.
Die Aussicht ist nach wie vor spektakulär, aber das essen ist leider zwar nicht schlecht aber vergleichbar mit einer durchschnittlich skipistenpinte in einem familiaeren eck. Der salat sehr gut, die hauswurst mit roesti versalzen, die egliknusperli tiefkuehlware aus dem ostblock. Aber die Aussicht grossartig, die Bedienung sehr nett und die weinkarte auch sehr gut. Alles in Allem ein netted mittagessen und Dank der Lage erinnerungswuerdig, das essen leider nicht.
So we arrived here after hiking from Iseltwald, what a great hike it was! After we arrived we explored the falls a little and then went to sit down for lunch as it began to rain a little. The service was fast and the food was good. I chose the Burger with chips, it came after around 10 minutes. The chips were hand cut chips and simply delicious! The prices here were a little high. The reason for this is simply that a. the food has to be transported up via funicular and B. its a tourist hotspot.
We had dinner for my birthday here on a Wednesday night. We weren't hotel guests and didn't realise it was a 4 course set menu until seated however it didn't matter as it was 74 CHF per person and worth every Swiss frank! My husband requested a window table which we got and the view of Giessbach waterfall was incredible.The service and food were amazing! The waiters surprised me with a birthday dessert with a candle and even sung Happy Birthday to me. It was wonderful. We highly recommend this restaurant for dinner! We plan to come back to Switzerland and when we do we will be sure to visit Les Cascades again!
We had dinner at the restaurant as part of our Easter package and were very pleased with the food. Flavours were well balanced and the food was served artistically. The services was excellent and the wine card offered plenty of choice in different price ranges.
