in the cohibar you get in graz really super cocktails in the middle of the university district.Leider is this locally not very big, always kicked full and totally smoked!!!
A charming place where you can grab a snack, have a great time relaxing with a glass of wine or beer, and enjoy Latin sounds (if you're lucky, and in a lively performance!) Moreover, on Monday evening everyone can get free salsa lessons at Cohibar Graz. There is always a festive atmosphere - bright, sparkling, exotic-colored latino.
We found this restaurant by using the internet search to find a place where we could get a white Russian. (not a popular drink in Austria.) We sat outside and had dinner salads and drinks. It was close to a park where they were practicing for a concert or something similar. Made the evening even more special.
I went here for drinks a couple of times and they truly make great drinks. The atmosphere and vibe of the place is great and I really recommend it if you want to get the feeling of sitting on a beach in Cuba while sipping on a mojito. Service was fast and good.As for eating, the finger foods (ie. onion rings, potato wedges and so on.) are good but the other food lacks something extra. I could make it better at home.
the cohibar belongs to the operated ones who have a small alibi non-smoking room - the large dining room is still part of the smokers. who doesn't like to smell smoke, he's missing here, because the non-smoking area is so small that he's always full. And when you stand out, you often think "sweet well-known scents striping the land"
Let's start with a positive, the waitress was extremely friendly and gave us a full refund. We'd previously eaten here many years ago, but things taste different now..and I'm not sure what's going on with the menu. I ordered a chicken burrito, and I've had a lot before in London, Toronto, New York and Barcelona. First of all, the vegetables looked like they had just been taken from a frozen Iglo box - .because why else would you have long green beans and carrots in a burrito? The food was totally without flavour. My wife and son ordered the vegetarian option. Picture a packet tortilla, tip frozen mixed vegetables on to it (some of which simply do not belong with a Mexican dish) and stick some cheese on top.That was it. It tasted of nothing. The guacamole didn't look or taste home-made either. A real shame, we were looking forward to it, but as mentioned the staff were very friendly and understanding. We'll give it another try, but the food needs more love.
as a european who is used to smoke-free rooms, you would like to breathe deeply - but the large room is reserved for smokers, the small non-smoking area is quickly filled (no wonder!-) and if the service still runs around my face, as if one had insulted them personally, and the dresses stink afterwards. No, I'm not going to be a regular.
the cocktails are pleasantly strong and good the service is courteous. the cigar selection is enormous and also affordable. good opportunity to offer outside business partners a special evening. I'll be back regularly.
