So, we order a couple of cappuccinos and two glasses of water, and two breakfast tacos, without bacon (religious reasons). Half an hour later, here come the cappuccinos, no water. Ok. A solid hour later, we finally get the tacos - bacon included. After reminding the waitress that we ordered the tacos without bacon, she just said: "We can remove the pieces from your tacos?" Not to mention that they did not even have the decency to offer to pay for the coffee, or try to make up for the inconvenience they have caused us in any other way.If you are looking for a fancy-schmancy café/restaurant with really crappy service, 'Promenada' is just the place.
This restaurant is not necessarily a gastronomical destination, but the food is well prepared, light, which for Austria is a big plus, tasty and very reasonably priced. the place is very clean, great location and a nice view. Altogether a very good package.
Upmarket, smoke free bar. Very clean comfortable in nice environment. Friendly helpful service. A bit pricey but you get what you pay for .
Healthy and tasty breakfast. Good coffee...quick stuff, even when many guests are injoying their delicious breakfast. Also nice for after work relaxation. Amazing tapas near the central park "Stadtpark" of graz.
A day touring around Graz left the adults hungry and the students off to find their own culinary treats. The five of us agreed that the Promenade looked promising and we were not disappointed.As we lazed in the pre summer night, we chose a delightful selection of red wine and beers to start out the night.The tapas was excellent and believe me I'm a tapas expert. Staff were excellent to ensure we had everything we need, despite which language we used - French, English, German, Austrian. Price was reasonable and we left feeling like kings and queens.Thank you Promenade for a memorable experience
Stopped by this café for a light lunch and liked it so much that we went back for dinner. The place was bustling on a Sunday lunchtime but our lunch snack arrived quickly and was delicious. The teriyaki salmon sandwich in the evening was superb, as was the salad with prosciutto wrapped sheep cheese. All the staff were delightful and efficient and made the time to stop and chat about the city. It was certainly a very different experience and much enjoyed.
We dropped in here for saturday morning coffee to rest our feet after going round the markets and walking through the park. Good service and of course excellent Austrian coffee and cakes.
An attraction that is popular with locals according to the 'Use It'map of the city, Cafe Promenade has opulent interiors, and friendly staff.I went here for an afternoon coffee and cake after a walk from the westernmost end of Stadtpark, but saw many locals enjoying a late lunch and a glass of wine.I had a cappuccino, and found it good, but not extraordinarily delicious; and a large piece of Vanilla-raspberry cheesecake (large, cost about 4 eur, soggy base, extremely average in taste). The service was good, the variety was large and the portions seemed generous. I wish I knew exactly what to order in order to have enjoyed the place more.
