Fantastic hotel. We were half board with Inn Travel and food from a very high standard and a large selection. The breakfast buffet was also good and extensive. We had a large room on the front, 327 with walkway in wardrobe! Beds very comfortable and room was very quiet. The pool is amazing! Swimming with mountain views was such a fantastic experience and for an additional cost you can book the sauna only for your own use. Staff nice, nothing too much trouble, would highly recommend.

We were in the older part of the hotel. Wood beams made sense that you were in an old castle, but a very clean and modern old castle. The breakfast buffet was excellent and the food and service at the restaurant was very good. Would remain here again in fact hope.

I went with my luggage from the station in less than 5 minutes. The location is great and the facility, while old, is well kept. My bedroom was clean and had 2 windows that had a nice view. Breakfast was amazing!

Great choice for our last minute stop in Kandersteg. Easy access to the railway station and the Öchinsee cable car, a wonderful indoor pool, a cozy chalet-style room and a great breakfast. Friendly, helpful staff mentions Mr Christian at the reception and Nadia at the bar and restaurant. Stay back.

Visited in September 2022 and it was cold and wet (not the hotel's fault! . Kandersteg is very pretty even in the rain. We stayed in the hotel for 2 nights and the restaurant and bar were closed both nights. They did book us a table on request in the Hotel Adler across the road. I think they should inform guests that there will be nothing open in the evenings when booking. Breakfast on day 1 was poor no hot food at all just bread and a small plate of ham and cheese. Day 2 was better. Overall the hotel is probably charming in the summer and ski season but the rooms are very dated and it was a bit sad in the shoulder season.
