Oh, I didn't know much before I ordered the "Café-Glacier" as dessert. but first. la cena is an Italian restaurant in marly, a 14-minute bus ride from the train station fribourg. the first impression after sitting: casual, welcoming, not overfilled or...empty, very relaxed atmosphere. perfect for a nice evening. since it is autumn, I decided to 'la chasse ', wild duck to start more accurate and fagottini. both dishes were delicious and highly recommended. all this combined with a bottle teufel pinot noir called lucifer. but finally there was this temptation. for the small extra. tiramisu. or Café-Gletscher. hmm tiramisu, maybe. No, let's keep this next time. by the way, thanks to the friendly waitress, to be so patient while I went through my long decision process. but hey, Café-Gletscher was. but the little extra was a very big extra. Oh, generous, they are, and fighting I was. but I could eat it all...mmm I even found space for a limoncello or two. overall a very pleasant experience. so if they 're in the neighbourhood of fribourg / marly and want to have some delicious food in a casual environment: la cena is definitely worth a visit. update: okay, I really had to try the tiramisu. So I went back. obviously not only to eat one dessert, but also to taste another dish. this time I decided to have a piece of pumba (alias sanglier or a wild fountain, not so wild, once served on a teller gay) and risotto as starter. as expected, both dishes were really good. even though I personally preferred the wild duck I had last time. No matter, I don't think they can make a bad choice when it comes to 'la chasse'. but back to this tiramisu. Now, sure it is less a challenge compared to the huge cafe glacier. even better, I think I have to stop pretending that I don't like tiramisu 'tout court'. the chef of la cena has proven that I really like it. I just wish it had the same size of the café-glacier because it's delicious!
