sehr gutes Restaurant. Essen ist ausgezeichnet und mit großen Portionen. die Preise sind offensichtlich Schweizer, also keine Überraschung.
Ich kam gerade von einem kurzen Aufenthalt in der Wurzel zurück und wir aßen in diesem Restaurant an zwei separaten Orten. der Service war ausgezeichnet und das Menü hatte eine Menge gekleidet im Angebot und auch eine schöne Auswahl an Bier.
despite higher expectations, we still had a good night. the service was friendly, the variety of beer (national and international) was nice, the “Casar Salat” I ordered was good, although it was not really a real zeasarsalat (eisbergsalat and...no romaine, chicoree? french dressing, beacon on the salat, slivers of parmesan. we all ordered a Swiss steak/entry, the meat was good and slim; it would have had a little more taste and one of my friends steak cooked too long. we didn't care about the sauces very much. the wee was good. overall has a good place, but the price-performance ratio has room for improvement.
we were really curious to visit this place. also looks very good from the outside and inside. good decoration in western style. something too much light and not really a bar apart from some chairs. the ambiente with highly decorated tables, wine glasses, bed linen tables and everything that had nothing to do with an saloon. the wine card was long and they tried to be a real restaurant, but no saloon. you get my comments, this is all just an saloon. finally a restaurant. the food was good. we had several things to see how they did it. with focus on steak I tried a big US steak. to make it short, you can not only be thick. Although it was very well prepared, it was far away from the ordered size and I got for the price of even the fries coming to chf extra. the same veggies. that makes a small steak an investment. also the ugly places in zürich are not more expensive. Youngs: they have a great place, great ideas and many possibilities but if they want to lead a saloon, offer the right food including a burger to an acceptable price get real regarding prices and they will have a lot of gas. if they continue, they will be bankrupt from now on in a year.
