We have been vacationing in Saas-Almagell for several years. We have always stayed in vacation rentals. This time we decided to spend our holidays in a hotel. The Hotel Mattmarkblick was recommended to us and we were not disappointed. It is a very cozy hotel with a beautiful large garden terrace. The host couple is very friendly and accommodating. The service staff is very friendly and courteous. The food is beautifully presented and tastes great. In the morning there is freshly baked bread, croissants, rolls etc. from the in-house bakery. There is also a generous dessert menu with many different coups that you don't see everywhere. The chef also makes the ice creams herself. On Monday evening, raclette is served à la discretion with very generous portions. What we also really appreciated, with à la carte, no matter what you order, you can always help yourself from the salad buffet. And you don't have to pay extra for this salad. There is also free coffee after every meal. You rarely experience anything like this anymore. We liked it very much and we felt very comfortable in the Hotel Mattmarkblick. We'd love to come back. Rooms: Rooms are clean Nearby activities: Chair lift, children's playground, mini golf is all nearby. Walkability: The hotel is very centrally located. Bus stop, grocery store and tourist office 1 minute away. Food drinks: Highlight: Generous portions, beautifully presented, the food tastes excellent, you can help yourself to any menu from the salad buffet, coffee after the meal is provided by the innkeepers
I can definitely recommend the Hotel Mattmarkblick. I received a very warm welcome. The room is very nicely decorated and everything is very neat and clean. I received very good advice on the nearest hiking destinations, bus connections and cable cars. The Hotel Mattmarkblick is very centrally located..... only 1 minute walk from the village square and the bus stop. Just opposite a small pond with beautiful trees that provide pleasant shade in summer... like a small park. The hotel is very informal, which I personally like very much. You start a conversation and just feel good! And last but not least, a word about the really great kitchen and the service. The food was very tasty and varied, I was a guest for 5 days and there was a new, great 5-course menu every day. The service was very friendly and always attentive...thanks to everyone in the team....and I hope to see you again...Tino Franke. A good Hotel Restaurant in Saas Almagell. The couple who own it take great care of their guests and the service is right. Had booked half-board, I can't say anything negative about breakfast or dinner, everything was fine and met my expectations. The bus (free with a guest card) stops just a few meters from the hotel, which is a good starting point for a tour. Only the rooms are a bit old. Since I was out and about a lot during the day, it didn't bother me, but this is where you could start. Definitely recommended and I will come back next time I visit Saas.
Unreliable company. No idea about the gastronomy. I can say that because I have 5 professional training courses and a Master of Vine. you go home with 1000chf... which is criminal was reported. Filthy rooms and hinterland in miserable condition. HANDS OFF !

I did a very late booking, the hotel staff was very flexible to let me do a late check-in at night and also prepared me some breakfast to take away early in the morning.
