Food, ambiance and service were good but not outstanding as the reviews would suggest. Servers were a little arrogant, discombobulated and did not communicate very well. At the end of the meal our main waitress tried to make us feel guilty for not eating everything. We ordered dessert from her anyways, a second come over and asked us if we wanted dessert and we told her that we already ordered the chocolate cake. A third waiter brought us our cake followed by the first waitress with a second order. Instead of apologizing for the mistake she scolded us, left it on the table and charged us anyways. There are much better places to eat in Interlaken.

Wir kamen von Grindelwald und hielten in Interlaken für einen Zwischenstopp an. Da wir wussten dass Unterseen über einiges mehr Charme verfügt, sind wir beim Stadthaus eingekehrt. Wir wurden herzlichst empfangen und konnten auf der Terrasse Platz nehmen.Service:Sehr freundlich, zuvorkommend und auf die Wünsche eingehend. In der Schweiz richtig wohltuend, so bedient zu werden. Unaufgefordert wurde für die Kleine etwas zum Zeichnen gebracht.Essen:Die Karte ist sehr gut ausgestattet und ansprechend, mit lokalen Spezialitäten. Wir haben das Fondue genommen, Kartoffeln, Brot und Eingemachtes war dabei. Einziger Negativ-Punkt: die Menge. Für eine Frau und ein Mann war es zu wenig. Für CHF 26.00 pro Person kann mehr als knapp ein Drittel volles Kaquelon erwarten. Schade. Dessert haben wir uns Schokokuchen mit Thymian-Vanille Glace. Sehr fein, auch wenn der warme Schokokuchen eher trocken war.Infrastruktur:Sehr schönes lokal, Ambiente lädt zum Verweilen ein. Sanitäre Anlagen sind sauber und auf dem neusten Stand.Fazit:Das nächste Mal wird es nicht ein spontanes Nachtessen, sondern wenn wir in der Region Interlaken etwas suchen, gehen wir umgehend wieder ins Stadthaus. Nicht vergessen: Reservierung!
Dinner this evening was excellent with the burger and veal strips. Other menu choices all looked very good and portion sizes were good. Service also spot on bar a hiccup getting the bill. Nice location with good outside seating options. Food is well presented also. Well worth a visit.

We waited over 30 minutes for service at a table here before giving up and leaving. It looked as if there were only two wait staff and one cook for the entire restaurant. The menu looked great and the restaurant is a popular one, so we were disappointed to have to leave and find a meal elsewhere.
Went with my sister on pur last day in Interlaken-- got the Spring Hamburger and it was literally the best burger I have ever had. My soster had the Alpine Roesti which was delicious. A MUST HAVE is the chocolate cake woth roaemary vanilla ice cream. The locals beers and cider were great. Great service and the place is very nice inside or outside. Big servings for the price (everywhere else in Interlaken would have charged more). This restaurant is a must!!! They have vegetarian and two or so gluten free options in the menu.
The restaurant is very big with plenty of tables, so it's good for large groups. The food was quite expensive but the portions were very generous so it's good to share.
