We liked the meal,but they have not A/C.The fan was not a good solution:all windows were open(+34 outside)
Came here after reading all the great reviews on a rainy April day. The place is big, nicely decorated and very clean. Staff too are friendly and efficient. Large and diverse menu. The food though was nothing special - pretty bland to be honest and compared to similar places not well spiced or seasoned in my opinion. No one in the group were particularly impressed and we all had diverse dishes.
Ordered the chicken Kebab for delivery when I was in Saigon. Best meal I had in all of Vietnam. Delivery was impressively fast. Wish I could go back to Ho Chi Minh just for this.
The restaurant is a walk away from Karlsplatz and Naschmarkt. The place is clean, cozy and relaxing. The staff are friendly, quick and multi-lingual so tourists would have no problems here. For starters, the shrimp spring rolls or any spring rolls actually, are really good. Any noodles (you can choose what kind of noodles) or rice dishes are yummy! I have visited two times and will definitely go back for more. They offer various choices from appetizers to main course and to desserts and even a wide range of beverages. Really delicious and great experience for me! I rate 9/10.
We came here while our and about and decided to give it a try. The staff were really friendly and spoke good English. The food was fresh and quickly brought out. The atmosphere was nice and relaxed. The beer was cold, the food was good and the staff were great and so very friendly. Would recommend for a quick bite to eat. Good value for money
This is the first experience of a Vietnamese restaurant. Not knowing what to expect we were delighted with the whole experience The menu was extensive with some difficult choices as a result. The staff spoke perfect English and were very helpful. Wine was not excessively prices even with the poor rate of exchange. Food was nice and spicy I had a chicken curry which was well cooked and presented my wife had a fish dish which was also spicy and quite delicious. I just wish we had more time in the city to revisit this restaurant
I had walked past "Saigon" many times on my way to Naschmarkt, but never stopped to eat there so I was curious to try it out when friends chose it as a venue for our lunch. I had tofu summer rolls (good, but I would have preferred more coriander in the filling), the crispy chicken set lunch and a "Vietnamese coffee" (interesting, but if you don't like sweet coffee, I recommend having it black, as the condensed milk it comes with is sweetened). Service is friendly and competent and our orders arrived at lightning speed. The main courses came decorated with an edible (?) flower, but all plates were plastic (or some melamine-type material), which we found a bit weird and not in line with the otherwise appearance of the restaurant. Decor-wise, it is your usual gilded Asia-restaurant decor. Lunch menus are very good value at approx. 7 EUR. Would recommend, in particular if your lunch-break is not endless and you value quick service at a decent price.
This is one of my favourite asian restaurants in Vienna. surprising food, good service and good value for money.
