Whenever I'm in the fifth district I'll stop by for at least one drink. The WerkzeugH has become my and most of my friends favorite hang-out spot as in the summer you can just chill on the big terrace or in the winter on one of the comfy sofas inside. They even serve a variety of food (also vegan) so you find something for everyone :)
We felt pretty ancient when we sat down on this terrace, which was filled with the very young, the very tattooed and he very artsy, but the price of the drinks and our own little nook with comfortable sofas quickly took away our discomfort. Staff was attentive but absent minded. Which resulted in a very friendly bill for our glasses of Grüner Veltliner, so we didn't complain and came back the next evening.
I visited this place for a party so the atmosphere was very good outside. The location is fantastic and the drinks are well-priced.My experience was let down by poor service. The bartender was rude and on one occasion did not even give me the correct change. No apology or an offer to provide the difference later on, just "I don't have the change" and she walked off. That behaviour would be considered shoplifting if the situation was reversed. Maybe it's my Britishness but that really annoyed me.Overall I would recommend the venue but be prepared for some "traditional" no-smiles service, and use the correct change!
Mixed furniture, DIY benches and even a little house with an old Nintendo playstation. The WerkzeugH is a great and very green place to hang out in summer nights to enjoy unconventionell beers and bohemian atmosphere, where they have managed to creat a small green paradise in one of the most concret districts of Vienna. Since it is very much a Hipster place, the service depends on the staff for the night. Some waiters and waitresses are very sweet, open and fun and will give you a food recommendation (I recommend the Indian soup for less than €5!) while others won´t even look at you, if you are not "dressed a certain way." During the winter time you can sit inside which allows enough room for smaller and bigger groups, but beware that the interio is somewhat thrown together and all second hand. The music is better than in most places, though it is not meant for dancing, since this is a sit-down club.

This place is must see in vienna, friendly staff, great food, excellent choice of beer. If you want to feel like at home you should definitely come here❤️
I really like this place! I was there with my friends and we had a great time! Cool, cosy, artistic and alternative. So if you want to chill, eat good food and drink some beer just go there.We felt like at home with all those couches and nice people. Highly recommended!
We wanted to celebrate a friend's birthday and therefore reserved a table and also asked if we could bring a bday cake. We got back a confirmation (for both, the reservation request and the bday cake), together with a lot of additional info e.g. no cakes containing raw eggs and no plates and forks could be provided. When we arrived, we were told - in a rude way - that there was no reservation as our reservation request had never been confirmed (???) and that we can't just bring a bday cake. When we wanted to leave, we had to go pay at the bar as the server never showed up again (the place was not packed at all!). Also: bring tissues as there hasn't been toilet paper and when asked for it, the bartender brought one roll for the whole (unisex) bathroom. We won't come back.
