One of the oldest, most authentic and small cosy mountain restaurants in the area with very nice surroundings.The owners - fourth generation - are charming and prepare fresh homemade local dishes as well as delicious cakes with love.This is a must, it’s definitely worth the hike!
We climbed all the way up to this mountain restaurant to have lunch and we were well rewarded by fantastic views and great home-made food. The restaurant is situated at an altitude of 2053 m slightly above Furri lift station. It is rather hard to get to and it seems much nearer to Furri than it is when you look up the mountain from the lift station. We had rösti, ham and eggs and local beer for lunch, The day we visited the weather unfortunately was not such that we could sit outside and enjoy the spectacular views so we opted for a table inside. The restaurant has stayed in the Imesch family for around 100 years and once this was a very busy place on the way up to Matterhorn. Now the majority of tourists take the lift from Furri to get to the mountain, but amazingly the restaurant is still viable despite the fact that a proper road to Hermetje is missing.In summary, if you have the legs, this is a really nice place to enjoy a meal.

Wunderschöne Aussicht von der Terrasse und freundlicher Service der Eigentümer. Sehr zu empfehlen und liegt auf der Wandertour.
Wenn sie wandern oder vom Black Lake aus planen, müssen sie dies an der Haltestelle im Restaurant Hermetje planen. es liegt direkt an einer der Hauptstrecken. Sie können sich keinen Zwischenstopp mit gutem Essen und angenehmer Atmosphäre an einem malerischen Ort wünschen.
what a special night! a three-course dinner, starting with a traditional meat and cheese dish, began an evening of the strata old and new. written by the owner, the strata caught local history and lore, followed by personal strata by a mountain guide....I was enchanted by the lore and eating. I will return.
location: excellent very quiet (approximately in the middle between cermatt and black lake) and a beautiful view (from their terrace you can see wide horn, pollux, castor, monte pink and gletscher). from the ground, one leads up 1 to 1.5 hours; if you prefer a shorter walk. take the matthorn express to furi, from where they take 20 to 30 minutes only drinks: excellent! I loved her cappuccino and her home made tee. food: they have made several domestic cakes; I tried the chocolate cake and I was more than satisfied. I would have been trying to taste her salad from my own garden. very nice. the we offered me two pieces chocolate cake instead of one! value for money: good. tipp: go there on a sunny day and enjoy the terrace with the amazing view and the quiet.
