All my Swiss friends suggested us to go and have a slice of Zuger Kirschtorte in this place because it is the best in town. We did it but unlucky the Kirsch taste was too strong for us. We enjoyed some biscuits and a cup of cappuccino by the way. Nice and familiar place where you are surrounded by cakes and nice people.
Friendly place with good coffee and pastries and decent prices (very rare for a place like Zug!). A bit old fashioned decor, though.
Confiserie Meier is one of the two most traditional confiseries in Zug to buy Zuger Kirschtorte. Kirsch is a strong distilled alcohol from cherries and the cake smells and tastes strongly of the alcohol. The confiserie is just outside the Zug railway station on the western bus terminal so it is convenient to pop out when you have a train connection to quickly buy a Kirschtorte. I recommend you don't drive after eating one!
The coffee intertior is rather old-fashioned but what counts the most is that the Zuger Kirschtorte there is one of the best in town! Also to bring home.
Nice little tea parlous near the railway station. Good scones, the service is not too friendly and the Cherterfield sofa tends to keep all the crumbled scones of the last guests! Good for those who want a taste of home!
Alle meine Schweizer Freunde schlugen vor, dass wir hier ein Stück essen, weil es das beste in der Stadt ist. Wir haben es gemacht, aber leider war uns der Kirschgeschmack zu stark. Wir genossen nebenbei ein paar Kekse und eine Tasse Cappuccino. schönerer und vertrauterer Ort, wo sie von Kuchen und netten Menschen umgeben sind.
freundlicher Ort mit gutem Kaffee und Gebäck und guten Ausflügen (sehr selten für einen Ort wie den Zug! . ein wenig altmodisches Dekor.
