We visited the OLIVE & OREGANO for the second time, looking for an apero/early dinner in the centre of Zug. Here you have the possibility to get just a bite and something to drink or a full dinner at your wish, chosing among some nice tapas and more traditional mediterranean dishes.Noteworthy also the prices, that are absolutely competitive for being in the centre of the Old Town.
Olive & Oregano not only has a beautiful name, but also a wonderful location in the Old Town of Zug. It is romantic inside with a nice Greek ambiance or at the outside tables in this lovely setting.The food is very tasty and presented well.The service is good and the atmosphere professional yet relaxed.I enjoyed the flavour of Greece!
We stopped for morning coffee and it was so good, we stayed for another! Lovely location, great view of the lake and for people watching. Coffee is excellent. The tapas menu looked very interesting...possibly one for lunch too?!
There are several expensive executive options in Zug, but none of them will beat Nick and Barbara's place when it comes to good food. If you like Mediterranean this is your place. Nick's Greek roots combined with Spanish tapas... plus some great wines and outstanding service. Love going to this place and probably do not get to go often enough.
Don't get yourself discouraged by the seriousness of the waiting personnel the food is great! This Greek and Mediterranean restaurant offers a great variety of seafood dishes and tapas to die for! The grilled Dorade is soooo fresh and delicious! The Octopus salad and grilled Octopus, the lamb filet are also a few of examples of the great options! The Olive & Oregano restaurant is the place I love to go when I feel like having the light food I cannot cook myself!
Meine Begleitung und ich verbrachten einen herrlichen Abend im Olive & Oregano. Die ebenerdige Terrasse in der Altstadt mit Blick auf den See ist grosszügig und mediterran. Die Speisekarte bietet ein Vielfalt feinster Speisen aus dem Mittelmeerraum. Wir entschieden uns für verschiedene warme und kalte Tapas, die alle überdurchschnittlich gut waren. Geradezu herausragend für meinen Gaumen waren die Patatas Bravas, das Fava (sah ich zum ersten Mal auf einer Schweizer Speisekarte) und die Aubergine Imam. Begleitet wurde das köstliche Essen von einem guten Wein und last but not least einem professionellen und freundlichen Service. Sehr gerne bald wieder!
We go time to time there for dinner, and we like this place for its good varieties of food and pleasant service. It's nice in summer time sitting in the terrance with the view of lake.
Das Olive liegt schön gelegen, Nähe am See. An schönen Tagen kann man perfekt draußen sitzen. Die Tapas sind lecker. Sowohl warm, als auch kalt. Man kann aber auch ein Steak bestellen. Das Personal ist aufmerksam und freundlich.
