Although it's not fancy, this little restaurant across from the Rugenbrau Brewery is a great place to meet friends for a meal in a warm and inviting atmosphere. House specials included sausage, rosti, and the very popular leg of pork (their signature dish). Whether you stop in just to try some of the house beer, or stay for a meal, you'll like the relaxed feel of Restaurant Brauistuebli and its friendly staff.

We didn't eat here, but had a a relaxing and refreshing beer. After your first beer, you can make a visit to the brewery shop, or have another beer?

Very filling portions and yummy food! Be weary that they only accept CASH (we were nit prepared for that lol). The staff did not seem the most friendly, but may have been an off day. Over all it was a great experience and would absolutely...eat there again!

Brewery tap of Rugenbrau brewery, which is just across the road. Good service and lovely terrace. Food portions and quality very good. Easy and very pleasant walk to this bar from Wilderswil or Interlaken. We've been here many times over years and would not...miss it when on holiday in the Interlaken area.

After visiting Harder Kulm we went back to our hotel. The reception suggested to have dinner at Restaurant Brauistübli, a local restaurant just a minutes walk away. The restaurant was really simple, resembled a kind of a Swiss cottage. The decoration was fun, lots...of wood everywhere, witch figurines and some Easter bunnies on the tables. That was probably since Easter had just passed. Overall, it was exactly what we wanted. An authentic and local Swiss restaurant for a delicious cheese fondue outside from the tourist crowd. The portion was delicious and just right for two people. We tried some Swiss wine, apparently one of the best European wines but made only for locals. We also tried the local beer, in hindsight, very similar to German beer, one style in a white, blonde and dark format. The bill added up to CAD for two. It was succulent and well deserved cheese fondue after a full day of travel and new adventures. It was picture perfect, as it started to snow outside. Prior to our arrival we were told it was much warmer and the snow was melting. Now imagine, a chilly evening with a nice cheese fondue, Swiss beer and wine. Finally, a great and friendly service, who was really helpful to understand us and help us out in English. Our Ratings Serge: Eli: Recommend: Yes, Great and friendly service, good ambience and delicious cheese fondue.

This little restaurant was a welcome find. It was nothing fancy and a pleasant place to eat during summer. The beer garden provided nice alfresco dining. Like most places in this area the value for money can be a bit of a surprise but that's...Switzerland.
