We had a reservation which is not necessary, but might be handy. The place was crowded inside and outside, the waiters were quite stressed. Nevertheless we didn't wait too long for the food which was tasty and priced mid-range. I don't like the place for the atmosphere, if you can, rather sit outside.
We have stopped in this place for a dinner after reading reviews from Tripadvisor 4/5. Surprise we were very disappointed! Here are the main reasons:1. Service very hectic and chaotic: no easy to get a table / wine came after the Salads..dressing was forgotten. we had to ask the waitress to bring it. 2. Food doesn't taste like in Italian place / Pizza which is the easiest Italian meal wasn't successful..3 The sauce offered with the Pizza taste more Indian than Italian/ first time I saw the ingredient curry added into Italian foods !!! Terrible 4. The dessert and espresso were at least good 5. We had to ask three times to pay. finally the bill comes after 10min. The waitress was not very motivated doing what she had to do! In my opinion places with a lot of tourists should be avoided b/c of lack of quality and service.
Our favorite Italian restaurant in Bregenz. Delightful pizza and pasta give you the real Italian experience!
We are living in Lindau, a town in the area of Bregenz. Every time we want to go for a walk, we go till Bregenz and we get an icecream from Isola Bella. I tried many places in Bregenz and in other cities, but this is my favorite spot! It is simply THE BEST! The icecream is creamy and very tasty. Over the time I think I have tried all the tastes and none of them dissapointed me.
We had a great dinner at Isola Bella. The friendly waiter was recommending us some wonderful dishes. The food was the best Italian food we had ever tasted. Good, fresh ingredients. Allthough it was quite crowded we felt special and personally treated with care.No rushing and the courses were served in a good pace. Nice Italian atmosphere and the sorbets as desert were truly amazing. In retrospective: Highly recommended restaurant!
The food we had here was good for sure but not worth the rude arrogance we had to experience and I will never return. We had non-German speakers (actually Indian colleagues) in our party who were keen to know what the vegetarian options were. We asked the unfriendly waiter who rudely repeated 'that is vegetarian' as he pointed angrily (and far too quick for our visitors to comprehend) to a number of dishes. We asked for some starters and main courses to be served together - the mains came 15 minutes after the starters! We had to ask for the bill 3 times and it finally came 20 minutes after the last request. I work for a well known large company in Vorarlberg who regularly use restaurants in Bregenz and I have reported this experience to our office management to prevent any group bookings being made here. Bad service is sometimes unavoidable but bad manners and rudeness is absolutely unacceptable. So many good quality restaurants with lovely staff in Bregenz - I recommend you give this one a miss!
Fantastic Food at very decent Prices. Friendly Service where you could have a laugh with the staff. Very relaxed and easy going expierience at the same time In had excellent Food.
When we checked TA for somewhere to eat, we were 2 mins away from this great Italian with well deserved ratings. Our main waiter was friendly and helpful and we were given menus with English translation. We shared a focaccia to start but although it had tomatoes full of flavour and mature Parmesan it was a pizza rather than focaccia like we've had before. Spaghetti marinara was great, good portions and plenty of taste though my first mouthful was spoiled by nearby smoker. Our only issue really is having to eat beside people who are smoking - the outdoor European experience all holiday. Tasty food and smoke don't mix.Fabulous gelato which had to be organised through our waiter from the gelateria which is through the inside of the restaurant. The dessert choices looked amazing but we opted for gelato in three flavours.Recommend this great Italian if you are in the area - super food!
