Gemütliches Restaurant mit Terrasse, zwar an der Strasse aber trotzdem noch ruhig. Das Essen war sehr gut und vorallem auch richtig heiss.Nette Bedienung und normales Preisniveau für Grindelwald
Immer wieder kehre ich gerne in dieser Gastwirtschaft ein. Die Portionen sind gross und auch gut. Die Inneneinrichtung entspricht einem Standart der wohl seit Jahren so genügte. Die 4-er Tische sind klein und es ist eng gestuhlt. Die Chefin versucht nett zu sein was ihr nicht immer so rüberkommt. Ich denke - sie könnte noch ein gutes Mass an Zuvorkommenheit zulegen.
Gutes Essen, das Fleisch stammt z.T. von eigenen Tieren. Besonders schmeckt uns immer der Nüssli-Salat (Feldsalat)! Preise noch angemessen.
I had the Cheese Fondue with bacon and potatoes and a nice Pinot Noir from the Vlais region for lunch. Exceptional!First night I had their very good entrecote steak covered with bacon slices and a ham puree smothered in a red sauce served with mashed sweet potatoes and veggies with a glass of nice Merlot.Second night they were closed. But hey, everybody deserves a day off, right? Third night I had the Rosti at the restaurant. Superb! They offered great breakfast of meats, cheeses, yogurt, breads, juices and coffee every morning.Awesome food. P.S. The hotel offers the best views in Grindelwald, by the way! Get a superior room with stunning views and enjoy the incredible food downstairs. You can thank me later;)...

We have stayed at their hotel and the room +breakfast are well worth the money although it is very expensive in Switzerland. Room is spacious. Breakfast is various, with local products, you will enjoy every bite. Views from rooms and restaurant are what people come to this country for.The food in the restaurant is yummy!, especially veal with mushroom sauce and rosti. You might find prices in the restaurant too high,however, they are lower than those in the centre.Rules in Switzerland are very strict and you have to bear in mind that the restuarant stops working at 9pm.
We stayed at the hotel, so tired from a day of hiking decided to dine in. There were 5 of us and we found the portions plentiful, fresh and tasty. We did not like the saltimboca risotto dish - it was not up to the rest of the meal (it was on the fixed menu). Deserts and wine were great too, and service very accommodating and pleasant
Had several meals at Blumlisalp over the years dating as far back as the 70's. Can't say we've ever been disappointed really. Good hearty stuff with expensive drinks which unfortunately is the case in most Swiss eateries. Service excellent at our last visit with English widely spoken. Will be visiting again.
