Wir waren zu viert nach dem Bikerennen hier Essen. Portionen sind gross, Service war schnell, verstand leider nicht so gut deutsch. Das Essen war sehr fein und das Fleisch war der Hammer.
nous avons choisi les roestis avec foie de veau et cordon bleu. Super bon , un peu d attente mais ce restaurant ne désemplit pas et il n y a que 2 serveuses. Bravo à elles de courir et rester sympathiques. Bémol, c est un tout petit peu gras mais trop bon. Félicitation
Yummy fondue for our first visit to Grindelwald. We loved this place. Everything on the menu looked delicious. We will be back!!!
I recommend all foreign visitors to try this Restaurant. It's very very Swiss without in anyway being a cliche. The pictures on the wall show the families by generation and the village as it once was. The heritage is reflected in the menu with plenty of Swiss signature dishes. Service is relaxed and very respectful. By all means try the Fondue , Raclette & Rösti etc. Try a light Fendent white wine and maybe a Pflümli Schnapps for the digestive. There is no "designer food" on the menu and this is probably not for you if you are the type that relishes being difficult (vegans, Gluten Free & co) although the friendly staff would probably try to accommodate the requests.
We really enjoyed our diner with a fondue (bacon). Was a local person we know who recommended this restaurant. Really typical Swiss specialities! One of the waitress was lovely, but another one was really rude... Anyway, I recommended this place!
We had the fondue, schnitzel and trout and everything was great. Wines were also very good. Service was slow, but nice Best meal in town. Highly recommended
Stopped for lunch after a visit to the Jungfraujoch and a valley walk. As it was getting close to end of lunch service, our orders were taken and delivered quickly. And each meal was enjoyed by its recipient - tasty and filling. One of us asked for and received a half-serve of the daily lunch special - and still found it to be enough food. This restaurant was a pleasant surprise
