The location of this hotel is almost unbeatable. Right next to the station overlooking the amazing Lauterbrunnen valley. We had a room overlooking the Virgin and it was literally one of the most beautiful views I ever had to enjoy. Breakfast at the hotel was very good. The pool was also very nice to enjoy. The jacuzzi felt a bit warmer than the room temperature, which was somewhat disappointing. The staff was polite and friendly, but I wouldn't say 5 stars. Some of the carpets and facilities around the hotel looked pretty old and might need to update or replace. We were very pleased with our stay, but unlike the location and outlook, most stays were just slightly above average.
We loved the Arenas Resort Victoria in Wengen! It was very comfortable and welcoming. We had told them we were celebrating our 50th anniversary and they surprised us with special decorations and chocolates in our room when we arrived. Breakfast is amazing! It was very close to the train station, so a simple walk with luggage. Also very close to shops and restaurants.
Great place with a pool and a spa. The rooms are nothing special, but they are good. The staff is really friendly and always available. If you decide to dinate in, it is a 4-course menu consisting of salad, soup, main course and desert. It is located in Wengen and there is not much too much in this area in the evening.
My daughter and I were here 3 nights and enjoyed every second! Cecil Tuhrer went beyond and beyond to make us welcome to introduce us to the city and recommend things in the area. You gave us a map if you stay in Wengen, which gives you discounts on the Trümmelbach Falls and other activities. Breakfast and all food was incredible and the spa was one of the best I had with hydrotherapy, hot and cold dives, sauna, jacuzzi, steam room with essential oils that my breath miracle. The hotel is just a few steps from the train, so easy to arrive with luggage. Also a luggage storage to enjoy day-trips and departures for free. Rooms are comfortable and equipped with a balcony. Uniquely decorated with art by local artists. Very recommended and want back!!
Decent hotel. Rooms are comfortable and clean. Communal spaces is very late 1980s early 1990s. Not cosy. Lovely pool. Rooms need many more electric sockets. We only had two in our room one by the front door (pretty useless for charging anything) another by the coffee machine. Had to disconnect the latter to charge phones. We had half board the food is not amazing. Plentiful, but more like a high quality school food than restaurant food.
