Stopped here for a summer evening meal. Despite a small language barrier a full meal was ordered and the waiter did advise well on the volume of food for our party. €40 for 4 people is good value. Quality wise I have had better but not at this price. The bill was adjusted for the main course that was missed by the kitchen. To be honest we did not need it really so agreed with the waiter for it not to be brought out. On presenting the bill the waiter went through it clearly to demonstrate it was not charged. So two opportunities for Lotus to make money from customers in non ethical fashion - completely avoided by very trust worthy staff. This shows they want to serve foremost above profit. Hence the better than average rating.
the lotus is a little above average what concernes the kitchen. the choice is typical for chinese restauraunts in europe, the typical mode how chinese cooks meet the average european´s taste. simple, basic but well done. the lotus restaurant is a very good place for having a quick dinner. service is friendly and fast. if you dont expect a five star dinner you will not be disappointed. prices are very friendly too.
Very tasty food. Soups are great, the duck is amazing. The service is also very good and fast. We will return.
if I'm in roomfield, a visit to this Chinese is just part of it. rarely eat as good and also freshly prepared dishes as here. service staff always very friendly. lunch menu is really very cheap, and it is even offered on Saturday!
During holiday in area decided to try at 7:30 on monday evening. we were only people there for 10 minutes until a party of 6 arrived who were sat in another room. Waitress arrived and whilst we could make her understand what we wanted with respect to food she just couldn't make sense of a rose wine. in end had coke and sprite, very strange. Food arrived quickly, sweet
We ordered 4 duck dishes and a chicken dish. All were delicious but the duck was cooked to perfection. Tender meat and delicious crispy skin. Good beers. The cuttlefish starter was to die for! Really attentive service and a fab price 5 X starters, 6 X main dishes, 1 X dim sum and 8 drinks came to €102 euros. Very good food.
If you're in the mood for Chinese food, this is the spot! The service is excellent, the prices very good and the portions quite big.
We had the best Chinese dishes in a long time! Service was great, waitress was so friendly and helpfull, especially with choosing the right dish. . It was soo tasty and quickly served. . Ik recommend the mix dish of duck and chicken, really tasty and kind of crispy
