Everything was just perfect. The mezze starter plate for 2 and the main dishes. Was our last night in Zermatt, well spent. I would also like to mention the perfect hospitality. Again and again, thank you!
It is a bit of a fight to find good vegetarian food in Zermatt, we found this online, decided to go there and we were not disappointed! Very delicious minenstrone soup, and an excellent cranberry, mushroom... gnocchi for the main course. The service was impeccable. It's... a brave step to open a vegetarian restaurant that gives them good luck and we wish them every success.
I was there with my family and we ordered an ice cream. The staff was extremely racist and left us waiting for 20 minutes and did not give the ice yet. When we asked why it took so long, the staff said rude...we'd go to McDonald if we wanted quick service. They had no intention to serve us and wanted us to wait. Extremely disappointed with this behavior! Would not recommend
Large vegetarian cuisine in a beautiful atmosphere with good service. Try the Minestrone soup (more a vegetable soup). In four days in Zermatt we ate there twice, so I guess we enjoyed the place recommended.
Vegistube is a great restaurant. We tried various items on the menu here the carrot and chili gnocchi, the tomato, orzo, asparagus soup, the salad, the vegetarian raclette. All were great. A great meal for typically steep Swiss prices. Service is good and fairly...quick. Note located in Hotel Pollux, Vegistube has a sister restaurant in the same building, Avantsube. We booked one night at Vegistube, and one night at Avantstube. In both nights, we ended up sitting in the same dining room in the basement of the Hotel Pollux. These two restaurants have the same menu Vegistube is the smaller, vegetarian menu portion that is also served at Avantstube.
This restaurant is part of a larger restaurant in the basement of a hotel in the middle of Zermatt. It's charming inside. The vegetarian menu has many good choices, I could have gone back several days in a row. They also had a children's menu...which offered some meat options (like spaghetti bolognese). Also offered simple spaghetti, which had a good homemade tomato sauce. My husband ordered the pumpkin ravioli and he thought it was the best dish of the entire week in Zermatt. The house wine was also great. I would definitely recommend and return to Vegistube. Also the service was top.
Very tasty menu (generous portion sizes)! Our party of four each ordered a different dish and all of them were great! It was nice to have so many veggie options. The staff were attentive and made great recommendations. We look forward to our next visit!
Vegistube is located downstairs but feels really cosy. The service was simply great, with all the personal being genuinely friendly. As a vegan, at Vegistube I was able to order a starter, main and dessert without having to ensure there's no cheese or cream or...butter in it. Just order straight from the menucard like anyone else! The food was delicious and the portions were huge. I will definitely go back.
