Stumbled across this Bar & Bistro which is tucked away beside the train station to Gornegrat - so glad we went it. Great craft beers & selection of wines. We wanted a snack & enjoyed their Vegetarian Spring Roles & Samosa's. Table next to us ordered the Chicken Curry & Prawn Curries Indonesian Style. Graham really impressed us with his skills in such a confined kitchen space & Isabelle behind the bar was very obliging in providing us while a sample of the Pinot Gris from Italy before I made my decision. Can't recommend this highly enough, a little oasis in the mundane fare of expensive Swiss cuisine.
This is a great find. Really good beer and excellent food. Really nice ambience to the place and lovely to chat with Graham who cooks in a very small kitchen adjacent to the bar run by Isabella. Delightful couple who are eager to please and great to talk to. Would definitely return if we are in Zermatt again. Thank you for a great evening.
Not only does this place serve a great selection of craft beers, which is difficult to find in Zermatt, but the menu is varied and fresh and the welcome warm. Highly recommended.
This charming restaraunt and bar is excellent. The proprietors were gracious and friendly and the food was fantastic...highly recommend the steak tartar!
Wonderful people, great atmosphere, terrific food and excellent beers. The live music most Thursdays and Fridays is worth a visit.
This place has the best atmosphere, the friendliest staff, fantastic food and beer and it's always a fun night. Do yourself a favour and pay them a visit, it's a must when you come to Zermatt. Oh, by the way try any of the curries, they are delicious.
If you like beer with character and real taste, Grizzly's has a selection for you. Ask the staff about the selection and try a few, you'll be back. Note, it opens in the later afternoon so plan ahead to avoid disappointment.
Kind of an English/Irish pub feel. Great beers, including one-of-a-kinds on tap. Reasonable prices. They even let us 'Yanks' take over their TV for American football. (Which the owner will gladly tell you is far inferior to other Euro sports :-) ). If you are in a hurry, don't engage the owner (Graham & Isabel) in discussions about beer, music, sports or politics. They know their $#!T. Seriously, they are really, really nice people and if you are in Zermatt, you should carve out a few hours to enjoy this great bar. (p.s. - check out the slightly risque decorating in the restrooms!)
