On our 5-day trip in the Montreux area, this was one of the best parts. On our first night, we ate at one of the fancier more expensive restaurants on the lake and were completely disappointed. The next night we went up the mountain some to Glion and found this great place. It's conveniently located near the train station (and the place we were staying). It has a much more relaxed, inviting atmosphere than places in Montreux. It feels like a quieter restaurant that locals enjoy. The owner is very friendly, provides great service, and speaks several languages. Even though the restaurant was very full, the food arrived quickly. The food was excellent! We ate out a lot on this trip, and the food here was my favorite. I highly recommend the filet de cheval. It was very tender, cooked perfectly, and had a tasty mushroom sauce. Prices were also less than similar restaurants closer to the water. Overall, I really enjoyed my visit and will definitely return the next time I'm in the area.
