I took a colleague of mine for lunch and it was an excellent experience. The service is always exemplary and the food portions just right for lunch, not heavy but fulfilling. We tried the business lunch. Good value for money, considering it is located inside a posh hotel.
Le restaurant se situe dans l'hôtel Mandarin Oriental.Experience culinaire extraordinaire. Un réel voyage pour les papilles. L'ambiance est très agréable et le personnel est charmant. Les prix sont un peu élevés mais les plats sont copieux et très bons.
Le Rasoï aux Fêtes de Genève, quelle belle surprise.Les fêtes de Genève, c'est pas propre et c'est bruyant.Mais en bon Genevois, ont râle, mais on y va tout de même. Nous n'étions pas prêt à manger sur place aux fêtes, à dire vrai nous sommes craintif.Alors lorsque nous avons vu le Rasoï, nous connaissons l'établissement. Nous n'avons pas hésité à nous approcher. Ils ont mis le paquet, du beau mobilier un staff en uniforme et un endroit qui affiche une propreté remarquable pour ce lieu.Nous avons eu droit à une présentation des prix et une explication des mets et du concept sur le ponton d'accueil. La carte et petite et tout nous faisait envi, nous avons donc pris les deux propositions, et plusieurs fois même. Les prix étaient très correct. C'était très bon. Si j'osai, je dirais que les gobelets plastique à CHF 2.- ça fait chip, mais je comprends et j'accepte le concept.Evidement la force de frappe d'un établissement du telle renommée met hors de portée la possibilité d'offrir le même service au commerçant voisin. Je pourrais dire que le Rasoï street food éphémère des fêtes à surpassé ses concurrents.J'espère que cette démonstration de force "Réussie" vous à tout de même rapporté.En tous les cas bravo à l'équipe en place, efficace et sympathique.
We came here a few times for lunch and dinner as we were guests of the mandarin oriental hotel, where Rasoi is situated. We loved everything about it, the ambience, the staff and especially the food. We got to try almost everything on the menu and every dish is unique and tastes fantastic. Djime was extremely helpful. (I'm not just recommending him because of his name) ;). If you are planning to eat here then You should ask for an outside table if it's not winter. We would definitely recommend this restaurant. We absolutely loved it.
There are two menus , one traditional Indian food and the other a more gourmet type of Indian cuisine Both are excellent and it all depends on your mood for the evening Service is great The atmosphere is a bit lacking , but it is dependent on the night, the place can be full or empty.The price level is very high ( even higher than normal geneva ) we paid for two just one glass of wine each , over 150 CHF per head .. for us it's worth it only for special occasions
Lived up to its rating. The food was good and innovative. Spent quite a time for dinner. The choice of food was limited but classy. Costwise you need to be ready to spend.
Je suis allé au restaurant Rasoi à Genève, pour les 27 ans de mariage de mes parents, tout ce que j'ai a dire est que ce restaurant est "doté" d'une nourriture excellente, d'un service exceptionnel, la personne qui s'occupait de notre table était très gentille, et veillait à ce que l'on ne manque de rien, sans être trop insistant au point d'être dérangeant. Le restaurant est très beau, et les prix un peu chers, mais ils justifient totalement cette qualité de ce restaurant 1 étoile. Comme je l'ai dis plus haut, nous sommes allés au restaurant pour les 27 ans de mariage de mes parents, et très gentiment, le personnel nous a préparés un petit gâteau, et quelques friandises. Je recommande ce restaurant, mais surtout pour les occasions, ce qui rendra l'expérience meilleure.
My husband and I were quite sad when the Rasoi in London closed. So when we found out there was a Rasoi in Geneva we were thrilled and I quickly made a reservation.What a mistake.This restaurant is expensive. I mean EXPENSIVE. And portions are tiny. So tiny that I left hungry (and I weigh less than 100 pounds if that tells you anything).Food itself is just okay. I will say that presentation is quite nice for most of the dishes, especially the halibut appetizer, but 30 CHF for 3 tiny 1-bite samosas? No presentation justifies that price.Service is confused and inept at times. Our first server was excellent and took time to explain every dish, asking about our allergies. The next server (who took our order) was less friendly and didn't convey the allergies to the chef. The third server really didn't know anything at all. So our food came out with nuts, which I don't eat, and which I found out about after a few bites. And this was in 2 separate dishes.The first waiter tried to make things better by apologizing and taking away the nut-containing dishes. He offered to bring out something else, and ended up bringing us another plate of halibut and some plain rice, which we were not charged for (thus the 2 stars). But honestly we were just so over the service, the prices, the wait time, and the confusion that we just wanted to leave.Needless to say, I don't recommend Rasoi at all, unless maybe you have an expense account and zero allergies.
