Perfect selection of things for lunch; specialty sweets & wonderful chocolates (plus various sizes of gift boxes); and of course, . . . sit outside to enjoy the summer days with a coffee. Friendly quick service, always with a smile . . . . a lovely place to spend some time. Convenient to ITU, WIPO, Palais des Nations, Opera Nations. Give them a try - you won't be disappointed.
Un tea-room où on est toujours bien reçu, sandwichs, tartes, canapé, chocolat maison,..Tous n'est que délices, en hiver je me régale de leur chocolat chaud maison.Atention fermé le week-end
This place has got to sell some of the most overpriced food in Geneva (fantastic accomplishment). Bland sandwiches that taste worse than that of the local supermarket (and 4 times the price). Their salads are slightly better but again ridiculously overpriced. Their bread is also pretty dire. The only good thing here is their chocolate which is good (my understanding this how they started off... but decided to rip people off selling poor quality sandwiches instead).
Patisserie Merigonde (Carole et Joel Merigonde) - chocolatier - patissier.Over 18 years working in Geneva - and this is my very favorite place for chocolates.My pictures only give a small idea of the variety; great for gifts to local friends.Sandwiches: Americans know that it's easy to find a ham sandwich in Geneva; or a cheese sandwich; buy practically *impossible* to get a ham & cheese sandwich! Carole (perhaps to help delegates like me) makes perfect ham & cheese sandwiches.Still - visit Patisserie Merigonde on Rue de Vermont 37 for their CHOCOLATES!!
The cakes are very good and whenever there was a birthday, I would always buy their cake. Until yesterday's morning...We all know service is not Switzerland's best feature, specially in Geneva, but the service in this place today was just horrible. The attendant with grey hair was very rude to me this morning because I took the cake from the fridge myself. She deliberately ignored me for 5 minutes and when she finally spoke to me, her first phrase was "Next time, you wait until I get the cake for you..." and she was even more impolite after this. There will not be a next time, the cakes are great but the service was just too awful to come back.
Travaillant à quelques pas, je suis allé a quelques reprises pour un petit repas rapide à midi. Que ce soit les sandwiches ou les salades, les produits sont de qualité et bien confectionnées.Je trouve quand quand même les prix légèrement élevés.
Newly enlarged space still the perfect place for morning coffee and pastries! Personally I love the wide range of products for lunch several different sandwiches, salads and wonderful sweets for dessert. Conveniently located near ITU and UN (Palais). On a sunny spring day the tables are on the terrace of the place to enjoy a break. Feeling good, friendly service. Recommend Carole et Joel for visitors.
