I have been a few times in the kuhstall. I always say that you have to earn the food first. 30-40 minutes.Clar could also be picked up, but I prefer the romantic hike.Always arrived the kuhstall is really very cool.Leider is only a menu and you can not order alla carte.The personal is very friendly, but rather makes a amateur impression.Trotzdem I always like to go to the kuhstall.
very good atmosphere, good service and the bratwurst is hardly surpassable! if you have time and pleasure on a good drop, the kuhstall offers a very good choice!
Skied all day in Corvatsch area and the thing to do is to go and visit Freddie, the owner and grillmaster if the place. (he also runs the golf club restaurant in Samedan, during summer).The vegi soup was a bit of a nothing, but the Fleischkase wit salad and the Bratwurst with salad were great, my daughter, aged 15 had 2 in totsl, and the are Freddie supersize!The atmosphere was stunning and the extension of the 2nd room is great.Go there for meals and the feeling of a Kuhstall (cow stable)
surprising setting and refined cuisine. access to foot and back to sledge. It's a complete program and it's worth the detour.
we stayed with a couple of friends at the kuhstall. the snow cat accompanied us to the restaurant. the environment is very spartan and the staff not very welcoming. the menu is fixed and not particularly maintained. the wine list is good. They told me a lot, but I wouldn't be back.
we had visited the kuhstall several times for a ski lunch and were thrilled by the kitchen and the ambience.Now it worked for a dinner after several courses (always booked). the ascent to the local (approx.30 min) was an experience. the way was marked with little laternen. the tables in the local were stylishly covered and the service very well. as was the menu. freddy, the chef came to the table several times and gave us his best grappa. the kuhstall is priced in the upper category, but every rag is worth it!
I had dinner there with friends. We decided to hike up, 30 minutes up the mountain uphill following little lanterns. They also offer other options to get there. We were the first guests to arrive and were greeted by the owners. The atmosphere is phenomenal. Cute little rooms. The food was great, a menu of 4 courses. We had bruschetta, a sole fish appetizer followed by steak. Dessert was cheese followed by yogurt with fruit. Excellent meal. Plenty of beverage choices. The meals are selected daily by the chef so there is no menu. Still great food. Requires reservations. They also offered additional food that they made extra. When we left for our easier hike down, the owners thanked us again.
the evening starts well. with friends you can walk comfortably over a snowy way to the kuhstall. that is locally furnished rustic chic and thus ends the positive part of my assessment. that was really bad (at my third visit) again. the weeping in large bottles would have the potential to be good, but all are too young. the whole experience summarized: a lot of show, little substance.
